I have a huge problem with this. 3D is a gimmick, one that can be used well. The battle of Midway is one of the most important naval battles in history. Historians believe the battle was the turning point for the Americans against the Japanese. If the Americans lost the war could have been much different. A new film about the battle I fully support it’s important for people to know. Adding 3D to it though makes it seem like some sort of fantasy. Thinking of audiences amazed as explosions and death fly at their faces makes it to me as if they are belittling the battle and the men who gave their lives to fight for their country. I just think war films shouldn’t get the 3D treatment. Maybe it’s not a big deal but it just seems wrong to me.
